Tootsie's Tacos and Burgers

We were driving home after work and wanted a fast food fix, so we stopped by Tootsie's for the first time after passing it a few times before. There was no line on a Tuesday around 7:30pm so we were lucky since other reviews have some complaints about long wait times. We were taken care of immediately, and our order was ready in about 5-7 minutes. My husband and I got 2 orders of fries with 1 apple pie. I was amused with the apple pie since it was more like a crispy apple wrap. (See photos for what I mean) The fries were excellent- crunchy shoe string type fries that had just the right amount of salt. Reminiscent of 90s McD's fries when that fast food chain was actually good. The order cost about $9. Service was friendly, fast, and we got our fried food fix. We might come back again to try the !

Food always tastes fresh, I especially love their tacos and burritos - the beef is delicious. Tomatoes and onions are tasty. We stop by here as often as we can and it's always reliable. Fries are great too, like home made.

Absolutely love this place. I saw this place on the way to fishing spot and being from Gainesville. I make the trip all the time I see a lot of reviews saying that the food takes long honestly just depends how many people are there but at least you know the food is fresh and they make it with true love Everything on their menu is good And they’re super good people I always love to support local small businesses especially when they’re delicious like this

I got 2 of their cheap tacos for my first visit. It definitely got a different flavor than Ive had before in a taco. I've heard and seen mixed reviews. Well you know, if you go to a pot luck there's usually some kinda potato or macaroni salad and your like "Oh man, i love macaroni salad" then you get whole serving of someone's pride and joy of a dish and it wouldnt be yours? But hey someone loves it, it wasnt bad, it just wasnt a flavor ment for you. It didnt taste bad, I did scarf down two tacos with fresh veggies like lettuce and tomatoes. Just the meat flavor was not what I'm used to. I will definitely be back to try thier other tacos and a burger. I want to give this place a fair chance. I will say its way better than the burger and taco joint across the street. The place was clean, no wait time and the customer service was great. The kid at the window was nice and polite and answered all my questions. I cant wait to try some of thier other tacos and burgers.

Tootsies opening day, they were very busy with drive thru 20 cars deep and nearly 3 hour wait to get food. They cook food to order so you will wait! We got in line around 5pm and finally got thru and got our food at 8pm, so was it worth it? Well it’s not the best but overall is very good! The burgers are good but were a bit dry, they use 80/20 beef and give all the toppings. The burrito was really good and packed full of rice beef and more, was missing sour cream. The tacos are apparently the grandmothers recipe, they were good, the beef is tender and flavorful but the shell was a bit tough. The apple pies were just ok, more like egg roll apple pies and very little filling. Overall they will do great. The girl working the order taking speaker and window was super nice, I think her name was Leanna.

We arrived just as the owner was putting the gate up. We were the last order for the day. We have heard the reviews and we were finally going to try Tootsies. We could not have been more satisfied. The food was outstanding!! Everything was fresh and the portions were HUGE! The customer Service was exceptional. The prices are extremely reasonable. The only thing I wish I could do was give them 10 stars as they definitely deserve it!! Definitely will be going back again and again
